Use of open badges to identify acquired competencies. 16 people attended the training.
Project manager Tomaž Pintarič presented Open Badges: what are Open Badges, their advantages of use, what information they contain,
who issues them, how are they made, what options for external user verification they enable, what are the global trends regarding their
use – how can digital evaluation of acquired knowledge help increase the capacity of vocational education.
The project manager highlighted how to prepare an education or training program to obtain an Open Badge – what components should the program contain.
As part of the CL-BVET project, the lead partner Šolski center Novo mesto has already purchased the Open badge license, premium package.
This gave us the rights to create and manage our Open badges on the portal.
Project manager showed access to the Openbadgefactory platform https://openbadgefactory.com.
He showed an example of a program already prepared using Open badge.
Project manager pointed out that he created access to the online classroom for all registered participants. Each one has already received an access password.
He suggested that each of the participants should explore the Open badge platform based on the assigned access.
